Seriously? I don't get it.

But this is the same crew that insisted that a slow footed 50% passer was a better quarterback than a fleet footed 60% passer based on press conferences, so i shouldn't be surprised.

You never get it because you can't understand context. We were glad to see Bo go after the hindsight of 7 years time of not being able to get it done HERE (emphasis added, you know, for emphasis).

We are excited and happy at the POTENTIAL of Riley here. Why can you not at least be ambivalent and then start your cancerous diatribe against him once he has actually given you reason, as our coach, at Nebraska, to disapprove.

I will gladly and swiftly concede that you were right if he doesn't do any better than Bo could. But you've got a while to wait and see.

Also, I wasn't in that crew you mention. I've never thought Tommy was nearly as good as Martinez and I still don't.
Yeah same here. I loved TMart's time here. He was electric when healthy even with the o-lines we've had over his time. Yeah he had his faults but I honestly think a healthy TM for a full two years his 1st two here, we'd have a conference championship.

Yeah how is that working out for Mike Leach. If you can recruit at Waco, TX you can recruit in Pullman.
Leach's TTech teams were much better than the teams hes had at Wazzu. Why? Easier to get Texas HS players to TTech.
Yeah...in all honesty...Pullman is the ultimate Pac-12 dump. OSU is #2.
I had a friend who went to Washington State...and he said they used to drive across the border to Moscow, Idaho on Friday nights because there was more happening.

Moscow has a population of 23,000

Mike Price's success way back was a total aberration.

There is almost no talent in Oregon and not much more in Washington. Everyone in the Pac-12 recruits from Cali.

Now Riley will be recruiting from Cali (with his ties to LA schools) and Texas.
If he wants success here, he'll need to do better than bringing 2* Cali talent. And who give a rat's behind about a few guys he put into the league or couple of wins against top5 teams? I thought this was about playing championship football?
He took those 2* recruits and turned them into NFL players. That is called development. Just think what he can do with high3* and 4* talent like we have.
So are we trying to be an NFL farm team,or win championships?
Alabama is an NFL farm team. How do they do?
Please explain to me how many championships Oregon St. won under their previous coach, and please point out any similarities they've had to Alabama in the past ten years.

I'll take your answer off the air, TIA!
They've both beaten a #1 team.
Cool. I've always wanted to be Iowa State.
Good. Go root for them.

You're actively trying to disparage this hire.

How rich
Maybe that 8th hour of talk radio will learn ya some context and perspective.

My goodness, most of you suck at math. The rankings are ordered by total points of your top 20 recruits

If you have a small class due to scholarship limitations, you're not even going to have 20 players.

14 x 4 = 56

20 x 3 = 60

Is a class of 20 3 stars really better? Debate that all you want but quit saying stupid crap about how terrible a class with less than 20 players is just because the total is smaller.
not sure where the "math" thing comes in... I was questioning the statement of a 38th ranked class being "solid".. funny how those that can justify a statement move to alt excuses...
You could not possibly be more dense.

My money is on Tommy to be the starter next year. The guy has played a lot of games.
And what about that has anything to do with being next years starter? I think we've seen what Tommy has to offer....hard north and south runner can't move laterally....locks on to one receiver and an average passer at best.
And so you can say Stanton will be the starter based on what? He hasn't played.
Based on how bad Tommy looked at times there's no way Stanton couldn't be better........Between the interceptions, fumbles, locking onto receivers, and flat out looking like a cry baby out there

For god sakes Tommy went whole halves without completing passes
You sound like a cry baby.

I have never seen so much animosity towards a coach who has never coached a damn game at a place like Nebraska who is consistently more talented than the other teams in its conference.

Shut. The f#*k. Up.

We gave Bo 7 years, the least you all could do is give Mike Riley 1 year.

They lost more than they won.
That's it? All this bitching and that's it?

I know it's not just you and maybe some of the other whiny chumps haven't jumped in and answered my question yet, but come on man.....

Your laid off right? I'd expect you to have plenty of time to investigate what you're crying about.

What do you and anyone else not supporting Banker not like about what he does?

It's a real question. I'd love a real answer. I don't expect it' truthfully, but I'd love to hear it.

If you don't have an answer and your just complaint to complain then seriously....piss off.

I am disappointed that Riley is keeping Warren. The DBs have tried to shoulder tackle way too often. This poor technique was showcased against Wisconsin. Also, the DBs don't seem to have a nose for the ball other than Gerry. I want Riley to go after the best, and I don't think Warren is the best. Is Warren a good recruiter? Maybe that is why Riley wants him.
I think this has more to do with the practice structure. I've heard that there are a startling number of players standing around doing nothing during Nebraska practices. That's on Bo.
No need to respond as Michigan complains about everything!
