I was spanked as a child. Sure, it may have taught me a lesson or 2. But most importantly it taught me that I never wanted to do that to my own children.

If you are an adult, hitting a kid in a matter punishment is wrong. If you do it or condone it, you are a f'ing loser and should have your a$$ kicked by an adult.

Who involved in this discussion has said it's alright to hit a kid for not doing the dishes, or to punch a 15 year old girl or any other make believe thing you're feigning outrage over?

Fact is, parents need to do what it takes to instill discipline in kids. That doesn't require beating them or hitting them and it may not even require spanking. I don't believe anybody is sticking up for what AG likely did in this case. I'm not. But calling people losers and p#ssies simply because they may have swatted their kids on the rear end or spanked them...? C'mon man.
