C'mon man.  You can't be this dense.  One guy gets to 11-1 one time in the history of one of the worst programs of college football and can't sustain it beyond that one year and you think that constitutes "winning in Corvallis"

LSU fired a coach in September. 

I didn't think he hit his ceiling, and I haven't been proven wrong.

Riley took essentially the same team and went 5-7 with essentially the same schedule. Bo never lost fewer than 9 games. From what we've seen this season we are going to have another 5-7 season. 

I get Riley is nice and all, but he hasn't improved the program in any measurable way.

Similarly ranked recruiting classes, worse records, and still plenty of blowouts. But hey.... we can't fire him because... we'll... we can't.

He literally lost 4 games for 7 seasons straight but you haven't been proven wrong? Riley should be fired before 3 seasons despite inheriting half the talent. STFU uneducated NU fans. Let our coach have a shot just like a real Nebraska fan would like.

I think it's about time to move past your lack of college football knowledge and come to terms with the fact that he's our coach. It's coming on three years, you'd think you could have forgiven yourself by now.

NO TEXAS, OHIO STATE, or MICHIGAN who will ALWAYS be favored and promoted above a school from the upper Plains with a small state population that will never be a good fit in the Big 10 and that has no reasonable path to prominence by staying where they are in the college sports landscape.

The Big Continental Conference. Ten schools assembled from:

Boise State (Mountain West)
Brigham Young (Independent)
Colorado State (Mountain West)
Houston (American Athletic Conference)
Nebraska (Big 10)
New Mexico (Mountain West)
New Mexico State (Sun Belt Conference)
University of Texas at San Antonio (Conference USA)
Utah State (Mountain West)
Wyoming (Mountain West)

Make two divisions. Playoff game at football regular season end (at Denver Mile High?) to determine champion: Nebraska vs. Wyoming? Boise State? Brigham Young?

This is not just stacking the deck to make Nebraska look good. This is getting away from a bad conference situation and assembling some rising Western sports programs together. Some good football schools here. And football pays the bills. Every year we get Huskers vs. natural rivals Wyoming and Colorado State. Every year we get to see Nebraska put it to two Texas schools with good football programs. Some warm weather schools for autumn season fun. Several other natural rivals among the other schools. University of Texas at San Antonio is a rising football school that just beat Baylor in Waco last weekend.

Someone will ask why New Mexico State? They are a natural rival to New Mexico, and they have a decent to good basketball program and a slowly improving football culture. It is in a growing town in the sun belt region.

Could this all happen? Anything can happen if you want it to. Will it happen? No, because some will prefer mega television contract money over everything else and they don’t want to ever admit they made a mistake in joining the conference they are in. But we are still allowed to dream. Huskers and their fans could have a better and more sensible university conference culture. Would you rather see Nebraska vs. Minnesota or Iowa instead of Nebraska vs. Wyoming every Thanksgiving weekend? They didn’t say “Go West Young Man” for nothing way back when.

Obviously you must live out in Colorado as the high altitude and latest in high potency hybrid canibus has taken a toll on your thinking skills.   

It would be much simpler for the Board of Regents to simply do away with intercollegiate athletics competition altogether and just form more formalized intrarmural leagues within our own student body.  In this way, we can award 'athletic' scholarships to 100% of our student body and be in complete Title 9 compliance and everyone can attend for free so long as they show up and participate in some 'flag' soccer or 'ping pong, shuffle board,  mario bros, etc.

IF we lose recruits because of some message board comments, then they weren't meant to wear Husker Red.  

One more season like what we have had, 9-4 or 8-5 or worse and this program will start to tear its self down to a point of no return.  Losing a Thanksgiving showcase game(Eichorst is lying) is just the start of losing some clout within the Big 10.  Eichorst could care less about Huskers playing on Black Friday, but our fans and maybe even certain boosters think other wise.  Sorry SE, you can't really escape this one either.  Douche Bag central.  How in the world can such a prideful school hire such bafoons as AD's?  How?
