I think I speak for us all that there is tangible proof of defensive improvement at all levels.  And not so much on the offense or ST's if at all....

100%. The D has improved every year. This is a good defense now. The offense regresses every year.

I didn't feel good about it before the game. I haven't felt too great about it during the game. But they're up 18. So, it can't be all bad.

Consistency requires disciplined, fundamental football. The coaching staff has not shown the ability to foster that kind of team.
