Yeah. And actually this thread, and really this whole board, is fairly mild mannered and polite compared to the way other boards treat fans from different teams. Try lurking at shaggybevo for about 5 minutes and see what I mean.

 
Knapp removed all the fun stuff before I could see it, dang it. He does a good job. Seriously, though, I lurk many boards, and this is among the most level-headed and welcoming college football boards that exist. Many of the look-a-like threads are interwebz classics. Visitors, just have fun here. These are good folks.

I think that goes more to the fact the we don't really have any true rivalries anymore. The majority of the sites that are nasty have border or in state rivals that make for competitive games. The our boarding rivals when we were in the Big 12 were garbage so it never grew. Believe me the Nebraska vs Iowa has potential to become a nasty rivalry. I work with about 4 Iowa fans and cannot stand any of them during football season.

 
I grew up in the Midwest and have yet to meet fans that are more loyal "a.k.a annoying" than the Huskers. I am a pharmacist and during Saturday games....no one is the pharmacy and it's audio is broadcast over the speakers. It's enough to make you throw up how annoying it is to have someone ask you if your getting "Husker Fever" in July. This team got rolled by Wisconsin and barely beat a horrible Ohio State team. And Ohio St. got rolled by Miami who lost to Virginia Tech. Clemson beat VT twice....and we all know how Clemson did against the c$%ks. Let them make fun of JC all they want.....when Clowney is making Taylor Martinez and Rex Burkhead his b!^@h all day, I doubt they will be making Whoppi Goldberg comparisons.

:laughpound This guy needs to write himself a prescription for xanax or valium or something to calm down him down. Living in the midwest you would think he knows there is NOTHING TO DO HERE. I'd love for something to do here in July other than fun plex or the Omaha Zoo, but thats just not the case. I wasn't comparing Clowney to Whoopi Goldberg, I didn't say Clowney PLAYS like Whoopi Goldberg. Its a look-a-like thread and Clowney's dreadlocks look like Goldberg's dreadlocks. Understand?

I guess I looked at teams from our previous conference differently. It seemed OK to make fun of the Fat Man and TexASS, just a little strange to have so many c$%ks at one party.

It's funny, I was just about to start a site about how much Nebraska's entire team looked exactly like a JV football team at a special needs high school when they got their asses kicked by Wisconsin, Michigan and...oh yeah, Northwestern...at home.
