*** Official Indiana Game Thread ***

I know we are just in Season 2, but I am not seeing much progress from this program in the big games that matter.  Our offense, defense and special teams all are a joke.  Tony White's defense is clueless.  Seeing Cignetti succeed immediately with Indiana will cause more fans to question whether Rhule is the right guy to take this program to the next level.
Tony’s replacement is here.

Started terrible with that first drive by Indiana, then the bonehead Special Teams play that basically ended our first drive before it started.

Stuff snowballs with this team, and here we are, down 21 at half.

"Hartzog has three picks this year, that's top 10 in the B1G.  He's a baller!"

When stats don't tell you anything.

Honestly, our entire offensive play design is s#!t. I don't know if Dylan could audible to a play that works. None of the blocking assignments or personnel usage make sense. Defensively, they are doing whatever they want, whenever they want. You'd think the d would have made adjustments after Illinois, but no.

Dante Dowdell has been the problem more than anything. He's not a "from the shotgun zone rusher."

If that can be put on Satterfield as a series of coaching decisions - and maybe it is - then fine. But Dowdell is probably "poor" on a scale of terrible/poor/average/good/great.
Talked to a buddy of mine (huge App St fan) talking about the portal and how it works/hurts.  Said they got a lot of P4 kids in the portal.  You'd think they'd be "great" coming from big time programs, but said in listening to staff and talking to folks those kids were so far down the depth chart they they didn't get developed and really "were not coached" that much as they were not getting playing time.  Unless we get a starter they are 1)work in progress or 2) there was a reason they didn't get more playing time.  Dowdell is an example of this.  I just ling for the days of a legit bell cow with another stud RB pushing him.....Not rotating multiple poor to average guys.

Rhule needs to admit he made a stupid mistake in hiring the kid and Satterfield. We'll see if he's another Frost or if he'll have to stones to actually make good decisions.
