I am just so completely unsurprised to see our fans saying that the problem is the run game and the offense in a game where our defense has given up 343 yards and 28 points at halftime.

Dante Dowdell is bad, and his fumble cost us at least 3 points on that drive in the red zone. But if you think better running wins this game for us, I really want to take a big hit off what you're vaping.    :)

When your whole mantra was chasing 3 and we are completely incapable if that, at least outside looking in, should be one of the easier fixes to make.  Just get a FG kicker.....

 
For the record though, @lo country, I do agree that Satterfield should have done a lot more to get ahead of Dowdell's incompetence and do something different heading into this game.

There's just no way he's lighting it up in scrimmages, so I don't get why he's starting.

He just cannot run well from the shotgun zone. He could maybe look a bit better behind a fullback or with pulling guards. But he's not cutting it.

That said, how many points were we even worth in this game if we had senior year Ameer Abdullah on the roster? Maybe 35ish? Indiana is just absolutely embarrassing our defense.

Ya, our D has been bad. But if our O wasn’t bad, their O wouldn’t have been on the field as much. Even with the D playing this bad, it could be 14-14 or 21-14 with a decent O.
