Why risk a mistake late in the first half with an inexperienced QB and a crappy kicking game?

Normally I would agree with you. But being it’s the first real game for smothers playing I don’t blame him for getting to half time and getting a plan at halftime to finish the game off 

Yes I agree for this game, didn't want to make a mistake with a freshman QB against the IA interception machine defense, in a game that is going well.

Smothers is a Freshman making his first start. We're without our starting RB as well. We've had trouble executing all year.

It makes zero sense to try and run an urgent offense in those conditions. You're up two scores. Don't give them a gift before the half.

When was the last time we've driven 75 yards in 30 seconds with a rookie QB?

When was the last time we turned it over in the that situation?
