I actually liked the call in that situation. I agree with you that doing it going against the wind might not have been the best, but Iowa's safeties were cheating up.That's on Langsdorf. Quit calling long passing plays into the wind, bottom line.
Tommy simply:
- Is making poor decisions. He's trying to make the Hero play, instead of the SMART play.
- Using poor mechanics. Throwing off his back foot. Forcing it into coverage.
- Needs to learn when his #1 & 2 options are not their he either must find his check down, run, or just throw the damn ball away to live another down.
He is a Captain, but is not leading this team by the way he is choosing to play the game. His decisions are costing this team a chance at a win. His decisions are not helping his defense or special teams who have played a fairly decent game.
This will be a big offseason for Mr. Tommy Armstrong.
