Yeah sorry for being trollish and calling out BSDon't feed the trollNo I'm saying in quarters 2-4 combined Iowa will gain less than 198 yards, the yardage they accrued in the 1st quarter. So you're saying Iowa will gain slightly less than the 800 yards their on pace for? I agree152 yards were gained on 2 plays yes they gained the yards and it counts but that isn't indicative of how efficient their offense is working today. If they keep breaking off big plays regularly then I will eat my words but I would guess Iowa gains less yards the rest of the game than they did in the first quarterHuh?152 came in 2 plays. The points on the board really hurt but those yards are somewhat a mirageSTATS DON'T LIE:
Granted lots of game left, but this should scare all Cornhusker fans.

However, those yards are real and are indicative of how bad their offense whipped out defense
It's not really indicative of the entire set. It's indicative of 2 plays that make up for 75% of their yardage
I dunno...in this case, it may be an issue of a 70% Tommy > gimpy Fyfe > Darlington? If TA can't run full speed he should not be playing
Try the Maryland game plan. Seriously, I wonder if TA simply can't make those boundary type throw......We need to ask Hanukkah Harry to sneak in some boundary, toss/sweep, and rollout pass/option pass plays into the playbook this Holiday season.
Reilly falling and King looking back and making a play on the ball? No. not PI.Should that have been P.I. there on King with Reilly?
Yes, and add more quick runs, like jet sweeps and the like. Use Iowa's tendency to sit and wait on defense against them.Does anyone think we should be spreading Iowa out and playing with some tempo. Feels like we are just playing to their strength running inside the tackles.
I think so but also wondering if they are trying to protect Tommy (if he can't run tempo due to injury)Does anyone think we should be spreading Iowa out and playing with some tempo. Feels like we are just playing to their strength running inside the tackles.
Yea, Langs is the one who ignores the short routes and throws YOLO's all the time. 80-90% of our problem is between TA's ears, not the playcalling. The sooner that you and others that think this way realize that a pass play has more than one route and it's up to the QB to throw it to where the defense allows him too the better off you will be. It isn't Langs fault when TA throws it to guys who are covered.Running straight up the gut is a good plan? Going yard on passing plays.....come on man, Langs is calling a crap game.Just when I thought you couldn't say anything any dumber........That's all on Langs. He's the offensive coordinator and QB coach. If he can't come up with a scheme that plays to Tommy' strengths, then it is all on him. Tommy wants to play. Offensive and defensive meltdowns are not the players' faults. This crap is squarely on the shoulders of Riley's Stooges. That is why I say TA should be benched. He loves the deep ball. If he is not running, he should not be playing. That wasn't Langs...there were receivers running crosses. TA just wants to play hero.
Did someone say they missed traps? No counters, traps, misdirection........nothing to make an aggressive D slow up
