Was the back supposed to pick up the DE? The OL let him go, then the back ran right by him. It seems like a blown assignment

Considering he had 3 guys in his face nearly immediately I'm not blaming him much. One came free and 2 of our OL whiffed.

It is obvious that Frost has been incredibly kind with comments as to this team.  

I wondered about this too. I thought perhaps Frost was talking to the fans, trying to pump us up for the season. Instead, I think he knows he has a decent team that has some mental fragility to it and he has been trying to keep them up through camp and early season pressers.
