It's not their fault they haven't been coached worth a lick. Get a real guy in here with attitude and you'll see the energy emerge from this team.

They don't need a new coach to choose to play hard.

Every time I see Mike Riley on the sidelines,  I'm still baffled that people thought hiring this dude was a good idea...  

This dude is the poster child for mediocrity..

I volunteer to coach Nebraska. Young, full of energy, and I've won multiple national titles on Heisman with Nebraska, Tulsa, UTSA, and Syracuse. Also had the #1 recruiting class every year and the #1 scoring defense. Also run 90% of the time.

Getting trounced by Minnesota would be a legit reason for Moose to re-evaluate his earlier statement about mid-season firings. But I still say it would serve no purpose at this point other than to rush the hiring process and tell recruits that there will be a change.
