When a 100th ranked offense scores on every drive it doesn't matter what scheme is played.  That is a lack of player effort.

It's both, and technique.

Minnie rung it down our throats.  Scoring at will.  D can't stop anything.  Spiel man in beast mode.  Lack of coaching and player effort.  Most points by Minnie in conference all season. 311 total yards....319/game average.

I think we see a lot of Cover 1 man. Well, that's what a competent DC would do after seeing the first half. They can't separate, their QB is very inaccurate. You can bring that extra man down practically risk free.

It's both, and technique. 

The passive bend and break defense is suspect and when you combine it with player apathy, this is what you get.

I wonder how many teams Riley has gone up against have nearly doubled their stats thank to Nebraska alone.  His teams seem to let other teams gain video game type stats and over achieve every season he's been here.  I'm starting to think he doesn't practice against what teams show on film, he practices his normal every day plays and thats it.  I have yet to see a game this year where the kids have come our prepared, not once this entire season.
