We lost because instead of taking the chip-shot field goal in the 2nd quarter we had a running QB throwing passes deep in the red zone.
So instead of being up by two scores with the ball with less than three minutes to play, we're only up one score and needing another.
And when we needed to burn clock, we put the ball in the hands of our third-string running back who's had fumbling issues all camp instead of our first-string thumper of a running back.
I mean, yeah - that play followed the false start? Or maybe it didn't.
But it still stands: two false starts inside their 5. We should have had 21 points on the board.
