**Official** Official Visits Thread

Added Keeon Virgile's official visit on Jan. 14th.

Also, two teammates and in-state prospects in Derrius Vick (plays QB but S prospect and David Sutton (DE/TE) are coming for officials on the 21st.

Also, might want to Change Tevin Mitchel from N to Arkansas commit, Nick Sade from N to NC State Commit, and Daimion Stafford from Soft to Solid.

looking at that list - only a few of our committs came after their official visits. most of our recruits have been locked up well in advance. seems like with recruiting happening earlier and earlier the "official" visit is become much less vital in the grand scheme of things. they are used as much to help confirm a prospects decision as anything.

either that or we just aren't landing a lot of the kids that are on the fence. Aaron Green's official visit didn't mean much. It probably helped persuade CJ and Pirman. Price I think would have signed eventually regardless. The rest of our "uncommitted" official visitors are still either undecided and dropped us from their top 5, or committed elsewhere.

Your right about OV's might not be as important as they have been in the past. In the present day, it seems as though realtionship with their main recruiter, and in-home visitd really are the keys to locking up a kid.

Add one more for this weekend. Aaron Earnest, a teammate of Ameer Abduhla, will join him this weekend. He is a speed guy (ran a wind-aided 10.29 100-meter) that NU is recruiting as a WR. He doesn't have an offer yet from NU.
