problem is the right side of the o line is probably the worst in big ten. both guard and tackle are weak and slow. week in week out. but they never get benched

Preaching open competition and seeing it are two different things.  No way the back ups are worse.  If they are, we are truly screwed moving forward....

Got nothing to do with mercy. Injury's happen to your first stringers when they don't need to be in there.
