Yes I rather be the running team. Osborne always said with pass the corners can shake it off. With the run that means you are dominating the trenches and the team moral goes down.

And if so, would the assessment be wrong? USC is good --- very good. And we are nowhere near where we once were. Both are true statements. The proof is before our eyes.

This board has largely set themselves up for a bad week, thinking that the Huskers were going to win. If one had a realistic expectation, we would figure that being down by 11 at the half is not so bad. A score and we are right back in this. The offense is playing pretty well. the defense is scrappy --- but overmatched.

Could be better, sure. But could be much worse. Hopefully the second half they hang in as well as they did in the half. my fear is that the floodgates may open up and this thing could really get away.

you are right, i thought we would be down by more, but 11 points is good we need to get some points in the second half and get the defense going

What happened to our passing game and play calling? We are getting way to conservative AGAIN. Damn, throw to the end zone with seconds to go and hope for a pass interference, not a damn hook and lateral from your own 40. C'mon Cally, he's calling plays like Schottenheimer used to at KC.

 
I can't believe how bad or O line is. You could take one of the people out of the stands put them in some pads and they could run it in for a touch down.

 
I agree with Husker_X! The game is not out of reach! Thanks to you Cornhuskers, you have gotten me so nervous I have had to temper my nerves with Gentlmen Jack shots and several beers.

Here goes....Kirk needs to get off USC's knob.

Our D line and linebackers....where are they?

Cally Offensive play calling.....improved from last year but still predictable.

Our running game....wow, we don't have one.

Hope...tons, we are still in this game!!!!

 
We can get back in this. A few stops, maybe one turnover, plus Cally gets back to doing what works, i.e. slants, comebacks, and 8 yard outs.
