***Official Weather Thread***

Radar says it's been snowing here for the last 24 hours-ish. Says it's snowing in Lincoln right now. Looking out my window and.... no snow. Huh.

I don't doubt we'll get some snow here. But as has been mentioned several times, the air is so dry that any snow will have to be pushed up here by the winds, borne along on the storm itself. It won't be able to use pre-existing air moisture.
I just want credit for my prognostication here. I shoulda been a meteorologist. I know all kinds of stuff about meteors.

What is Q like in Lincoln, Omaha and central Nebraska now?

Chicago is supposed to get 3-5" tonight but starting after rush hour. Hopefully the storm won't bring any more dry slots up here.

Lincoln probably has 2 inches right now, pretty damn windy though. Supposed to snow most of the night and we may get around 6-8 inches.

We're getting snow, but there's no moisture in it. It's going to be pretty easy to scoop what we have so far. Might even use a broom.

Apparently we are getting dry slotted pretty hard.

Roads in Omaha are pretty bad though. The light fluffy snow is packing down on the driving lanes and we aren't getting the two well defined tire tracks like usual.
