***Official Weather Thread***



Ha. My sister was in a 70 car pile up (much like that I imagine) many years ago in Missouri. She was driving a Gremlin and got hit by a Safeway semi truck. Totaled the car but luckily she only had minor injuries.

Does anybody know why I-80 is closed today, GI to Kearney and North Platte west?

I assume west of NP is due to snow/ice but wondering if the GI-Kearney area is for flooding.

My daughter has to get from Lincoln to Colorado on Saturday....

I checked the Nebraska roads site but all it says is impassable.

Pretty sure the roads are fine to at least Ogallala.  But since people can't make it much farther west than that, the start closing the interstate and have to keep moving it east as they run out of motel/truck stop space.

With the sun we had today and the weather getting nicer, I would think the roads would be fine by Saturday.
