Stadem said Will Farniok is probably most similar to older brother Tom, both in size and makeup. Tom Farniok had mostly FCS offers, but went on to start 47 games at center for Iowa State and become a Cyclone co-captain as a senior in 2014.
Derek Farniok was a 6-foot-8, 339-pound tackle for his final season at Oklahoma in 2015, starting four games as a senior. Matt Farniok is listed at 6-6 and 310 pounds as he goes through his first spring practice at NU, and the redshirt freshman is No. 2 at right tackle.
Size is among the biggest questions right now on Will, but Stadem has watched him blossom from a kid who was maybe 6-foot and 190 pounds the first time he put on a Washington uniform.
“He’s getting bigger all the time,” Stadem said. “He’s just a pup, we think.”
