Oklahoma: What did we learn?

Our special teams cost us a win against a Top 5 team.

Our O-Line coaching is a hot mess…supposedly we have the kids but they can’t block s***.

Our 2-minute offense is craptacular.

Our defense is going to give us hope, and our special teams will continue to rip it away. All while our offense shows up *just enough* to not bring suspicion to itself.

This team is worse off because of the current staff (excluding the D)

Held & Austin are terrible. Especially Austin. Tarmac leaving worthy. Need to hire a dedicated special teams coach that is worth a damn.

defense is a pass rusher & a better ILB from being a top 10-15 defense.

Culp, Liewer, & Piper shouldn’t see another down this year. It’s obvious that Toure, Manning, Martin, & Betts are the dudes.

I was impressed with Adrian and Rahmir today.

OU is for sure not the 3rd best team in the country

We still suck at fundamentals and are mentally weak.
Mentally weak on offense & ST. I won’t fault the D. They played hard.

-If Austin didn't have two guys drafted last year, I'd say 'leave his a$$ in Norman.'

-Piper cost us yet again. Him getting bulldozed on that extra point turned the tide is the game, and reflects his play all year.

-Culp mentally may never recover from this.

-THE DEFENSE HAS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF!!!

-Also, if Rahmir is your guy, why hasn't he started all year?

You're takes are bad and you should feel bad.

We hung with the #3 team all game. We don't suck. Just discipline and special teams that hurt us (yet again). mentally weak is laughable, this team brang it the whole game and kept popping back at a superior team.

- Martinez gets a lot of criticism, some of it deserved. But the overwhelming sentiment I’ve seen from neutral observers is that he is the only player saving us from an even worse record and I have to agree. He makes some mistakes but also makes magic happen even if it hasn’t resulted in enough Ws.

- If that undefeated season at UCF was at all flukey, their OLine wasn’t. They completely shifted the LOS against Auburn in that bowl game. Probably the one assistant I truly trusted on the offense to produce results but it hasn’t been good enough unfortunately.

- Special teams and bad penalties continue to be absurd.

- Moral victories suck but that was a hard fought game and the team was fired up. It honestly felt like we had Riley a little scared and he just tried to get out of there without an upset loss.

Defense may be legit.

Special teams is so bad it should cost Dawson his LB coach job too.

Adrian played a good game up till the last drive.

Too many penalties still.

Oklahoma probably won't have to worry about their national title hopes like the announcers we're saying. Not a #3 team.

What we learned? This offense is being held back by those who are running it. Whatever happens at the end of this year, I am looking at one guy first and he runs the D. I am serious.

Frost has succeeded at brining in talent but failed miserably at bringing in competent coaching. Frost now has an uphill battle to finish above .500 this season which is what I believe he needs to do to get a 5th year. The remaining schedule is brutal and I am not sure there is a single remaining game on the schedule where Nebraska would be considered a clear favorite.  I am seeing a 4-8 finish on the season which should make it easier for Trev to move in a new direction.
