OL Shiyazh Pete -> Kentucky

 When i see this kind of money & l wonder how much is true for any player.  Last yr., the only players reporting this much NIL were QBs & WRs & there were not that many.   Sure seems like that number is being thrown out there a lot for players across the country.
Like Rhule says today's price is not yesterday's price

Callahan has said multiple times for both World and Pete that we were the highest bidder.

We lost on both for different reasons.

World wanted to win at a high level but wanted $ too

Pete wanted the best fit and money was secondary (although I’m sure he was given plenty!). Was also floated he wanted to solely play LT

It almost sounds like people are trying to assign blame to something or someone that we aren’t getting guys, or in this case, Pete. That is asinine! Maybe a kid just felt more at home in Kentucky in comparison to Lincoln. Maybe he wanted to be in SEC, maybe he liked the weather better in Kentucky compared to Lincoln and Ann Arbor?  So many factors that our coaches, NIL, fans can’t control.

I am sure that our staff and NIL did everything they needed to do and the kid just wanted to go somewhere else, period.

Pretty much this.  People like to try to pigeon hole these decisions into one neat little box.  It's almost never that simple.

Could be due to a bigtime OT that might be headed our way if his coach leaves.
