at this time last year, we were losing carnes to western kentucky and lavonte to south florida....

true, and no reason we still shouldn't be. we've got another top draft pick this year and suh just got some major hardware. my point though is that january is always a roller coaster, particularly for NU fans, given all the disadvantages we face in recruiting. i don't argue that we've hit a rough patch, but there's no reason we can't come out of it OK. we're still in on some big recruits (peat, carter, jackson and abdullah for starters).
