Oregon & Washington to the B1G - Clemson & Florida State Next?

I like to move. These are all teams that have made some noise and recent years. I know the market is tiny, but would’ve liked to have seen Wyoming join this group. They have produced a lot of talent and been a very competitive team the last few years. Too bad they couldn’t have added BYU, Utah, SMU, and some others before they joined the big 12.
They need to get to 8 teams for the NCAA to get an automatic bid for March Madness.  UNLV, Wyoming, New Mexico, New Mexico State are all possibilities if they want to stick to the Mountain & Pacific time zones.

I still think their best path forward is to merge with the MWC and keep the Pac 12 name.  They would be able to merge all the assets from both conferences and not pay any exit/poaching fees.

I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years.  I have been to 20+ UNLV games.  I used to listen/watch Husker games then head out to the Rebel games.

In the age of NIL??  If the money in LV ever really wanted to back the Rebels??

I would go after them if I was the Pac 12.  I also might look at Gonzaga and St. Marys as non-FB schools.

Rebels have a huge game tonight with Kansas.

I read somewhere that UNLV might have a political problem joining without Nevada, and that is not why they were included in round 1 of the Pac expansion.

I'm hoping Wyoming and Air Force go as well to keep rivalries alive.

I'm just surprised that the Mountain West didn't do more to prevent this from happening.

Wonder if the MW had tried to get Washington State and Oregon State to merge with them?

I heard elsewhere, that the Pac 12 could only take 4 from the mwc at the beginning because of legal issues, so they took the easiest ones first.  My assumption from now is. The lawyers decide the rest that join in.

There are also rumblings they really wanted to announce this before this weekend.  Given the Oregon/Oregon st and Wash/Wash St games.

Lots of publicity now because of this.

Forget the PAC, move UNLV to the Big 12.  Already won at Houston and at Kansas this year.

Lived here since 90 and I haven't even been to 20 games even attending UNLV    I did get to see Cunningham and Icky back in the day though.
