Orgeron did a heck of a job as the interim HC at USC after they dumped Kiffin at the airport. I'm sure he could handle DC responsibilities.

If they got Coach O on the staff here, I wouldn't even bring him here to interview. Interview him over the phone, and tell him if he gets the job to just start recruiting right now at home. Then, when he comes up here to report for work, he can bring about 10 5 Stars with him

Was he even at USC during the Reggie Bush Era? Lol

I believe Bush was at USC from 2003 to 2005, and Orgeron from 1998 to 2004, so apparently he was.

I can't find a specific reference, but given that Bush was a high profile recruit for USC in 2002 and Orgeron was USC's principle recruiter in 2002 it is possible that Orgeron himself recruited Bush.
