OT Darrin Paulo [Utah Commit]

We need the big dude playing guard next to him. He looks bigger than 340.

Looks more intimidating on film. The guys has very little upper body strength.
FYI - meaning the guy next to Paulo.

I watched the film of him vs Burbank. It appeared like he was playing against a middle school team. I have concerns he isn't quick enough on his feet to play tackle in the Big 10. Neither did I see many pancakes vs guys 70 pounds lighter than him. He might be effective in a big back, drive the ball down the field offense. I realize he isn't a finished product at this level. He will need some serious coaching.
His offer list tells me all I need to know regarding his potential. I have Faith in coach cav

It's possible that he is playing tackle because he is the best lineman on the team and you put your best players where they can help you the most.

Also, is it common for a LT to be 340 lbs? Seems like that is too much weight for a tackle.
Wisconsin is known for their big beefies on the O-Line and on their two deep at OT are 6-5, 321\6-6, 295\6-6, 303\6-7, 320. At OG they have 6-7,324\6-5, 301\6-5, 317\6-4, 299

The fact that we haven't seen any excited tweets today from the coaches makes me a little nervous about his decision. I would love to have this guy though. Can't teach that size.

So the answer is no, it's not common for a tackle to weigh 340 lbs.

Found this on the trend in the SEC:

Let me clarify a couple things.

Scout PREDICTED around 10. (I didn't realize it was an estimate either)

He was delayed last night in Denver so it's unknown when he got home.

He could be busy contacting coaches to let them know he isn't attending their school first.

I'm guessing getting home so late delayed things.

Paulo's words yesterday were apparently first thing in the morning, but that is what I'm predicting got pushed back with the flight delays and what not.
