OT Nathan Smith [USC - Signed LOI]

Says he's still a solid USC commit and that he committed to the school, not the coaching staff. Likes the connections he'll have with a USC degree in Southern California.

That being said, Nebraska and Arizona have been standing out the most out of other schools contacting him lately.

Taking an OV to USC on December 12. Not sure if he'll visit Arizona. December grad - early enrollee.

99% USC but if things go awry there, he says he'll come here.
So, you're telling me there's a chance! If the next coach they hire gets drunk on the job and runs an illegal cockfighting circuit then we are made in the shade.

Visiting by himself for Iowa - no family with him. Dad has been to Husker games before but not him.

Anyone know how his visit went? I think OL is the most crucial position we need to upgrade. Certainly think at this point he'd be more buried in the depth at USC vs. NU.

Still solid with usc but Nebraska was a eye opener and gave him something to think about. His dad is a Husker homer so there is always hope

Liked most of his visit but didn't like the cold weather.

Said unless something really crazy happens he'll sign with USC.

Can't really hate on him for that. As long as he just wants to do college ball, he shouldn't really be in too many cold environments while at usc.

Unfortunately he visited for the coldest game of the year. If you look back at the season, the first two games were played in the 80's. Then most of the season was played in the 50-70's. There's really only a couple of games a year we play in freezing temps.
