Christian: yes.

Afterlife: yes.

paranormal: no.

I can see the hypocrisy in that set of beliefs, but that doesn't change my belief.  I also find it odd that we "mainline" protestants generally don't talk much about faith healing, raising the dead and exorcisms, even though the bible talks about the apostles performing such acts.  The assumption is that Jesus and the Apostles were special, and nothing like that would happen now.  I don't believe in faith healers, but there is a literal biblical precedent.

Nor would I expect it to change your opinion.  But that's kinda my whole point with this poll, one but not the other seems weird to me.  One possibility is irrational yet the other isn't?  Contradicting in many ways, but that's what has made me agnostic over the years.

The old Lock Out, Tag Out omission got you!  So what are you seeing floating around at night!  Maybe there is some paranormal going on because of it.

I once tackled a guy so hard in HS football that I saw stars dancing  - does that qualify as paranormal?
My experience was laying on my back going .......wtf just happened???

That sounds like a couple of my biking fails over the last two years.

Knapp, what separates a 'very good medium' from an average or good medium :dunno .   Maybe real good connectivity perhaps??

Don't know. It was a family legend.  Not sure how much I believe it, but it was always told to me by my mom & grandma in a very matter-of-fact way. They believed it was true.

I have the same belief in the paranormal as I do in Big Foot and the Lochness Monster - there's absolutely no viable evidence despite many years and many people trying. But I could be convinced with evidence.

I definitely have a guilty pleasure for paranormal investigation shows. I believe in some kind of after life (though who can say what that really is) and I'm not sure if I necessarily believe in ghosts or anything like that. Whether it's a multiverse or actual ghosts none of us can say, but I have seen and read about things that are truly incredible so who is to say.

I have no idea.

That's why I'm agnostic.

A generally cheerful agnostic.

There's plenty of mystery in the universe to keep me curious.

I just get skittish when people pretend to have the answers.

Yeah this sums me up pretty well.

If ghosts can pass through walls, why don't they sink through floors when they walk around?

If I meet one, I'll ask for ya.
