Patience Please

It's pretty obvious to me that the last two weeks, the opposing team had better players. They executed on offense. The were tougher on defense. They had more physical lines (both sides). They had more talented skill players on the field. They had less penalties. They converted more third downs. They shut down the run. They dictated/controlled the game. All the while they were on the road.

Players make up a team. You have good, you have better, and you have the best.

Better players beat Good players. Almost all the time. The Huskers have good players.

I'll stick it out week by week, without question. I'll still be hopefull for a win every weekend. I like this team and I want them to do well.

I would gladly take any of those 3 losses by those point totals we had in 2003 over the schelacking we received on Saturday. We gave TO 20 years or so to lead us to the promised land, and now he's AD. I have time to see this thing through, but it's also naive at best to continue to blame players and past coaching staffs for what transpired last Saturday. As long as we have 4.6 40 guys playing in the DB positions, we're gonna struggle. I really thought Bo by now would have these guys chewing up nails and spitting them out. Right now, things aren't working. The team is raw and undisciplined. We're making way too many bonehead mistakes especially in the penalty department. It's like this team is just waiting for the next shoe to drop and something bad to happen.
