It seems there are questions arising about our playcalling. What the heck are we doing some might wonder. To this I ask, is it really the playcalling that is the issue? It's an age old question really, and I think there are a few things to consider here.
1. The playcalling would look amazing if the players executed and the plays worked. This is probably what every coach with bad offense thinks, but of course not always true.
2. The playcalling has been somewhat limited because the players can't be trusted to execute the whole offense. This is probably more of the case for coaches who's players are inexperienced.
3. The playcalling is not putting players in position to succeed. This is what most fans resort to when the offense isn't working, but also what almost all coaches refuse to admit.
Personally I think we have a little bit of everything going on right now. What is huskerboards take on the playcalling vs. execution debate?
