Ok? So At what point do you draw the line?

At that late of a stage, regardless of fetus viability, a delivery is necessary. It's not as if the child is just re absorbed into the mothers body. A delivery of some sort is required. However, it is not required to end the child's life before deliver.
Read the links I posted because that's not true. Here's from the second link:

Jennifer Gunter, obstetrician and gynecologist practicing in California, offered this scenario on her blog: “A good example is a woman at 26 weeks who needs to be delivered for her blood pressure — that is the cure, delivery. However, because of her high-blood pressure fetal development has been affected and her fetus is estimated to weigh 300 g, which means it can not live after delivery. She will be offered an abortion if there is a skilled provider. This is safer for her and her uterus than a delivery.”

No, I haven't moved any goal posts, but there are certainly multiple issues at play here.... My original post that you responded to was pointing out that a father had killed his pregnant GF and (wanted)unborn child, but will only be charged for the murder of one of those two humans. The only thing I said in regards to that murder are that the man should be held accountable for his crimes, that is a flaw in the system that has resulted from not respecting and acknowledging that child as a human life before birth.

So at what point do these lives deserve constitutional protections? Or do they at all?

At what point is the second bolded part not true or just to you (because that is why its being debated)? What health condition would require an abortion for sake of saving the mother's life or health (esp in the third trimester)? Do you understand how an abortion is preformed logistically (esp late-term abortions)? You should go watch an abortion being preformed.
There are a number of health issues that require a trained physician to make a decision on the risk to the mother, and the child.  Sometimes these are identified early on in pregnancy, other times (RARELY) they are determined late, or happen late due to an accident or issue.

My question (I was super active and involved early on in this thread and have been away so I may have missed some intricacies in the debate posts) is do you trust the judgement of a physician?

It seems that many pro life advocates struggle with the scientific expert analysis provided by the people who have trained extensively in this very topic (pediatrics, OB/Gyn, medicine, medical ethics etc) unless it aligns to their beliefs.  So the debate becomes one of your belief and opinion and faith vs. experience, science and data.

Chelsea Clinton's interview wt PP head Dr Wen.    Some good old fashion Orwellian conversation going on here. If you can't 'win the argument' you change the definition of the terms.

https://www.interviewmagazine.com/culture/planned-parenthoods-dr-leana-wen-explains-to-chelsea-clinton-why-now-is-not-the-time-to-play-nice

CLINTON: I refuse to refer to the anti-choice movement as anything other than anti-choice.

WEN: Our nurses and our clinicians are all here because we believe in life. Being pro-choice is being pro-women. It’s being pro-family. It’s being pro-community. It’s being pro-life.

Abby Johnson, the former PP location Mgr and PP employee of the year, would have a different point of view.

So a new abortion law passed (making abortions illegal after 6 weeks) in GA this week, and the response from the Democratic women is the best.  They're bringing to a vote a:

“Testicular ‘bill of rights.'” She has called for the legislative proposal, which is still being written, to encompass five key points:

(1) It would require men to get permission from their sex partner before obtaining a prescription for erectile dysfunction medication;

(2) ban vasectomies and penalize doctors who perform the procedure;

(3) make having sex without a condom an “aggravated assault” crime for men;

(4) require men to begin child support payments when the woman is six weeks and one day pregnant, per a paternity test required at the same time; and

(5) create a 24-hour “waiting period” for men who wish to purchase porn or sex toys in Georgia.

I'd like to add that most women seem to figure out they're pregnant (according to several sources) at weeks 5-7.

This is one of the best stories I've heard in a long time! Thanks for sharing.

This is sick. One of the female lawmakers tried to get amendments passed before voting that all failed. These would have included prenatal and healthcare til the child is 13. Voted against. Make rape and incest victims exempt. Voted against. And finally making it a class C felony for men to get a vasectomy. Voted against.

The republican party is evil. It just goes to show that once these babies are born, they and the morhers are on their own. Pro-birth, not pro-life. And rape and incest is okay. I guess its no surprise coming from a state that almost voted in a child rapist.

I'd caution that Alabama Republicans are a breed all their own. They didn't flinch supporting a credibly accused pedophile for U.S. Senate. They're the most extreme of the extreme.

Still, it certainly seems the onslaught against Roe is underway with all these incredibly restrictive anti-abortion measures being passed at the state level. They're certainly hoping one gets sent to the Supreme Court and Kavanaugh/Gorsuch do what they were sent there to do.

This is why Democrats need to find a way to take back the White House (pretty good odds) AND the Senate (not so good odds) and either A) increase the SCOTUS to 11 or 13 or even 15 justices and load those open positions with moderate/progressive thinkers, or B) decrease the SCOTUS to 7 justices and oust KavanaughGorsuch under the first-in-/last-out premise.

Of course. Mysoginists disguised as gatekeepers of morality. Anything to suppress women and keep men free.

Interested to see what happens when these GOP lawmakers need their mistresses to get an abortion.
