This is definitely a YMMV situation. I've seen both ends of the spectrum. HuskerBoard seems to be about in the middle. It is not "easy" to get banned here, although I do agree with you that it's not always consistent. There's leeway for the Mods, and that's good as long as you have good Mods - which this place does (although they seem to be absent quite a bit lately?). 

Pruning this site of asshats over the first decade of its existence created a pretty solid base of members who carry this site forward today. I've been on boards where asshats have been allowed to run amok - and the kind of person who forms the backbone of this site don't stay. 

 
Yeah, but sometimes the proper response to a Moderator warning is: are you s#!tting me?

I know I had a couple of those when I had posts pulled that were no different than posts allowed to stand. Then had the post asking for clarification pulled. Then had the moderator refuse to respond to my polite PMs. Then had another mod confirm the mod in question was taking things a little too personally.  

And that wasn't even my interaction with Nuance, who probably shouldn't have been a moderator in the first place. 

It never occurred to me that HuskerBoard would be better if I didn't have to see BigRedN or Husker55 posts. They were just part of the big crazy quilt we call life.

Also, I'm thinking since 55fan got banned, maybe we need to switch this up and make it BigRedN aka Sheepdogmark vs The Scarlet Pimpernel aka FLU aka I-know-everything-about-every-recruit-from-Louisiana

I live in Louisiana so therefore I know everything about every LA recruit and LSU. Got old a long time ago. Problem is, he’d look like poster of the year compared to derpdog mark.

For the record, Scarlet Pimpernel is not FLU. 

But same region and somewhat the same mannerisms. Apparently the bayou molds a person a certain way?
