Possible Bad News...

Who do we have in line now at center? Behind Captuo. I understand Smith was the #2 center at this point.

Sucks to hear about Smith.

EDIT: It's my understanding that with the depth at DT, his chance at playing this year is at C.

This really does stink, but at least it should open up the competition for both the left tackle spot and the #2 center position. We have a lot of young guys who have a big chance to step up.

Smith was not in the mix for LT, Nick Ash has been added back to the 105 before Smith's injury which may provide a little more depth. This will be the good news of the fantastic line coming in next year, is that we can afford to not redshirt some of this years freshmen on the line if needed for depth.

 
Already starting to look like last season. Our O-line can't catch a freaking break. Smith wasn't going to start but he gave us valuable depth that could play any position.
