Well, it's been two and a half hours since it's been posted, and there have been 10 replies with 263 views. So far, pretty civil responses. There are some we won't please no matter what we say, but my initial take is that the majority are pretty understanding and accepting.

Outstanding response.

I've been on a bit of a rollercoaster the last two weeks, and at times at hair-on-fire levels worried about how this was going to go down. You guys have done a masterful job. Thank you.

Very soon, like tomorrow, it's time to get back to our "one love" the Huskers. Promote our team, support our new coaches, with constructive criticism and hooray, and dream about next years national championship trophy.

Yeah. I didn't learn until tonight the exact rundown -- a member letting the admins know something untoward was going on, later prompting the investigation, or until yesterday that this was the first time it's ever happened.

Quick question, answer as much as you can - does the PM investigation have anything to do with Landlord? My understanding was none of this had anything to do with him, but I'm getting questions.

I don't know if Landlord contacted anyone - he didn't contact me. But as far as others asking, not sure I see why it would be there business.

In the thread, folks are asking about the Woodshed. Obviously some of those bashing threads where trash has been slung for years. I think they bring up a valid point.

Ar Husker, when you have a chance, whenever that is, could you help there. Not sure how to respond.

I rarely if ever go in the Woodshed, really don't like the place but understand what it's used for.

They have a point, and they don't. I mean, stuff changes over the years. There is levels of bullying and what not.

Perhaps we should consider some retention policy on some of this stuff.

@Eric - agree about Landlord. He's a good guy, but he's got a raft of personal stuff to deal with. He'd be doing himself a favor by starting fresh.

The Woodshed stuff Junior is bringing up is petty. The "vs" threads aren't people bullying each other, they're people snarking back & forth. Not one of those threads was ever reported as "bullying." His arms are going to grow three inches from all this reaching.

Let's wait till we get some input before responding. They can wait a little while. Besides I'm curious if other members might answer for us.

Bullying, to me, is when the target of ire has no means to fight back. Either because they're being ganged up on or the terms of the conflict are unfairly slanted against them. That doesn't happen here, because everyone can hit the report button. We have disparate enough Mods that someone will see the person's point of view, and rally in the favor of the "bullied" person.

The Woodshed stuff is really petty.

First, people are confusing "what caused first 3 to be banned" with "what caused later bannings."

I'm not the biggest fan of the Woodshed, but that's just a place for people to get 'ripe' with each other, so to speak. When/if things get out of hand in there, people get warned, or people get banned. It's happened in the past, way before this. Best example I can think of is the hskerprid stuff. There's also all the garbage with people kicking down a guy who had lost his job, that had been going on in the status updates and in the shed, which we should have been more proactive about.

I couldn't stop myself from the post about civility. There's a difference between disagreement and dickery, and Junior's coming close to the latter. Other than that, I'll try to refrain from posting in that thread. Don't want to muddle the message too much.

I've stopped myself from responding to Junior three times. Personal opinion, the fewer voices (cooks in the kitchen) we have responding in the SotB thread, the better. Frank & Eric, that thread is in your wheelhouse.

I'd like Junior to calm down before he works himself into a lather and falls on his sword. His posts seem similar to such run-ups we've had before, most recently with beanman.
