Exactly. This is about the point when the legs start feeling like lead - and that's when freaky injuries can occur.

One good thing about the new facillities though... if the weather doesn't cooperate... they can move indoors (most practices have been held there so far anyway).

uh actually they have had most of the practices inside Memorial Stadium. I think they have only had it in the Hawks Center 2-3 times because of a wet field or rain.

But yeah that is a nice option to move inside and still have a full field and not lose much.

After having 10 practices in nine days, Callahan gave his team Wednesday off to get “recharged.” The Huskers open the season Sept. 1 against Nevada.

“Our players have been working extremely hard and pushing through some rigorous days,” he said, adding, “We also have a large number of players who are finishing up summer classes Thursday with exams, and we want to ensure they have a good amount of time to take care of their priorities in the classroom.”
