QB Blaine Gabbert

he was on 1620 today, sounded like he was excited to commit. Really thought highly of keller. Liked the attention he got at spring game. Says he has called Andrew Jones, a Mizzou TE recurit and another TE from Kansas City trying to get them to come with him. He also said he will be planing on calling other recuirts.

what time was he on unsportsmanlike conduct? I swear I left my radio for like 10 minutes the whole time well I guess I picked the wrong time to leave :( man I was waiting for that

Apparently it's not that unsusual for a new commit to help recruit for the coaches. Harrison Beck tried to -- have no idea how successful he was. I think even Josh Freeman was doing some before Prince got into his head.

But Gabbert being so high profile could have some impact. I would think especially wide outs and tight ends. But what the hell do I know.

Blaine is on the recruiting trail!

“Blaine Gabbert is a huge, huge piece of the puzzle for Nebraska because he’s not going to be shy about going after some top kids,” said Rivals.com recruiting analyst Jeremy Crabtree. “He’s already asking Nebraska coaches for phone numbers of some of the top recruits. He’s going to be very aggressive.“
Hope he has Arthur Brown's number!

I listened to the Crabtree interview and said that gabbert would be in the 28 through 35 range of their top 100, not the #1 QB, the #1 QB will be Terrelle Pryor who will be the #1 in the country. So Blaine will end up being high 4 star or very bottom 5 star.

He has a full senior season to improve that ranking.... or lose the ranking I suppose. We will see what he does in camps, the season, all-star games, etc. A lot of time until the ratings are official and the recruiting haul is done.

Throughout the year, that fluctuation will show at times he is a better player than other times when he is not as good. So he may be a better player on Friday and not as good the next Monday. Or maybe he is a better player in the morning, not as good in the afternoon, and then a better player in the evening.

the best part of that unsportsmanlike conduct interview was when kugler asked him if he was going to do the same thing as a past missouri QB, and then he paused and said ..."no I won't pull a josh freeman" and they both started cracking up. and they used it as a promo all of today.

I keep hearing the name Elway come up when people comment on his throwing style. But dont be fooled. This guy will pull it down and run when everyone is covered.
