Fellas I would guess it's not football related. He's still in high school, prolly dating a cheerleader who's messing with his head & dumped his @$$. Or maybe he got caught foolin' around? Remember these kids are still kids and high school can be tough on many of them. Just my two pennies worth. He'll be fine.

 
i was so shocked when i heard this....doesnt he have a game on ESPNU coming up, that would be pretty funny if they have a nation wide game to show how good this kid as hes on the bench

 
There was a short article in the OWH a few days ago that indicated he is not healthy. As I said before, I wouldn't be too concern, at least not yet.

 
It certainly would be hard to plant your foot with an ankle injury, and that would certainly affect your ability to throw the football. The problem is you can continue to aggravate an injured ankle, and this could be a problem for the whole season. I wonder if it would be better if coach would sit him down so it can fully heal.

 
Parkway West won 20-17. Blaine Gabbert had 195 yards passing and 22 yards rushing. He had 2 touchdowns (1 run and 1 pass) with no turnovers.
