This day and age I think you are way off base.  It’s about the money. 

While true, the #1 QB would get NIL money at any number of schools, many of which have a better track record of developing QBs for the NFL.

Make no mistake, coming here is a risk for him. He knows that. The only motivation he has is the idea of reviving a dead program. If he comes here, he should be commended. Most recruits of his caliber take the easy route and go to the same 4 schools. I hope other top tier players realize they don't have to go to Ohio State/Georgia/Alabama to have a great college career.

They don't necessarily go to those schools bc they want their college years to be the best it's bc those schools have a track record of putting kids into the NFL.

I think some Husker fans think that DR will be a flop, maybe??  But what I think the non-bowl Huskers need right now is buzz and seeing who DR might bring with him as HS or portal recruits.  The buzz and players are worth it right now, no matter how good he will be in the future.

someone made a good point on a video I just watched.  It had to do with Coach Rhule telling Kaelin that the would honor his commitment.  You don't even bring it up if you aren't completely sure Raiola is coming.  You are essentially risking a known for an uncertainty if they don't already know he's coming
