With all the recruiting services, I think it can vary but yes it is basically a handful of top tier guys.I'd argue that only 1 team gets the #1 QB...

They still recruited at a high level. Won at a decent rate. Have a top 5 talent rich state. Nebraska has a bigger hill to climb then GeorgiaThere's that whiney, defeatist attitude...
No reason we can't. This guy or the next. Georgia was never this elite until Kirby took over.
but, but, but...whine, whine, whine. Change is a sales pitch away...you just need the right salesman.Georgia is in the SEC, recruiting hot bed, won 18 more games than Nebraska during Richts non Elite years, and went to 2 more BCS bowl games. Why do people still act like Nebraska isn’t Great Value brand at this point?
They were still relevant. Kirby didn’t walk into a dumpster fire. Mark richt was 145-51 with 2 conference championships and 6 appearances.but, but, but...whine, whine, whine. Change is a sales pitch away...you just need the right salesman.
What was Georgia's excuse before Kirby?
Wait, Nebraska has recruiting challenges? WHO KNEW. Challenges are opportunities with the right staff. It is certainly a difficult/uphill climb. I am so freaking tired of the narrative that it can't be done tho. Cause that is some BS...especially with NIL opportunities. If UNL wants to compete at the highest tier then we have the money to do so.They still recruited at a high level. Won at a decent rate. Have a top 5 talent rich state. No doubt about it...but they were never elite until recent. Mike Richt was very similar to Bo.They were still relevant. Kirby didn’t walk into a dumpster fire. Mark richt was 145-51 with 2 conference championships and 6 appearances.
So, around 130 schools don't get the #1 QB. And around 1 does...got it!With all the recruiting services, I think it can vary but yes it is basically a handful of top tier guys.
It can be done but we’ve been selling the new coach who’s going to restore order for a quarter of a century. These out of state top tier kids are gonna need to see some proof that it works. Except he won 2 CCG games and finished top 10 every other year. They needed someone to get over the hurdle we still need to get out the starting blockNo doubt about it...but they were never elite until recent. Mike Richt was very similar to Bo.
Similar in that georgia fans felt like he was never going to win the "big" games...2-3 losses a year etc. I didn't say they were identical.Except he won 2 CCG games and finished top 10 every other year. They needed someone to get over the hurdle we still need to get out the starting block
If you don’t think colleges on the coast/nice weather areas or near large cities don’t have an instant advantage, then keep living in a dream. The rest of us with functioning eyes and some sanity left after what Riley and Frost put us through will believe we can get the top QB in the nation when it happens. No doubt about it...but they were never elite until recent. Uh what? Your comment is moot. Never once did I say that we are not at a disadvantage. Thanks for your insight tho.If you don’t think colleges on the coast/nice weather areas or near large cities don’t have an instant advantage, then keep living in a dream. There is a middle ground btw. Just because some don’t believe we can get Raiola this year doesn’t mean we can’t turn the program around in the next 2-3 years.
