QB Malik Zaire [Notre Dame Commit]

I'd take MZ in a heart beat ... but if any of our current QB's, JS or MZ are gonna decommit because of any fear of competition I'd rather not have them associated with the team at all ... that crap has got to end.

 
Stanton has already pretty much assumed he has no chance his first year, at least. He said, "there's no reason to come in January if Martinez is a senior." I think he respects the program a ton.

Because they told him they aren't using him as a QB anymore and what him to change positions. Just like everyone told them they would do. Get him on campus and then try to make him switch. At least that seems to be the rumor.

I don't want Heard or Kizer. I bet there's somebody better in the '15 class. Don't want to scare them away either.

Whether Zaire decommits or not...I think Stanton committing will keep him from coming here. I'm sure he's willing to compete, but he'll probably choose the path of least resistance.

I don't believe that to be true. If it were, he wouldn't have committed to ND.
