That’s the thing. People think we want to bench him for the season and that’s not the case. But when he comes out and plays like a deer in the headlights look, he needs to come out of the game and get it figured out.
That’s just crazy. Fields had a great game tonight and was light years ahead of AM in terms of play.

My guess is Vedral might get some more snaps this week.
For the record, I’m not saying to completely give up on Martinez, but he may just need a breather and watch the game from the sidelines for a bit. He’s really bad right now and his confidence has to be shot. Sometimes you have to pull a pitcher when they are getting shelled.

Yeah, my takeaway from this game was certainly not “Man this Fields kid could be more accurate”

I didn't say Martinez didn't play terrible but I saw what I saw in Fields. If you didn't then I don't know what to tell you.

1st INT: Throw to the outside instead of the inside and the receiver makes the play.
2nd INT: Hit the receiver in stride and it is a TD.
3rd INT: WTH
We aren't beating more than 2 more teams if we keep up with the multiple turnovers a game. Most teams aren't as bad as Illinois.

When you’re down by 6 TD’s in the 4th quarter...it’s ok to put in your back up QB. How will they know of Vedral is a difference maker if they don’t play him?
Amart is not progressing like I think we would like him too. I have two takes on that matter.
1. After the amount of high snaps he has had to go and get and then try and run the play called, he can't find a rhythm.
2. We don't have an offensive line. Amart can't even read past his first read and he is getting hit or pressured..
So maybe he has improved, but some pieces around him have not. I am sure in practice he can make all the throws, but thats not game like pressure.

I don’t get what it is with Jurgens and why he gets all the playing time. If he was blowing up holes for the running game or giving Adrian time in the pocket, then ok I’d give him a bad snap each half. But he is doing none of this and is snapping poorly every series? What the h is going on?

Martinez has 16 interceptions and 18 fumbles (10 lost) in 16 career games. If that doesn’t stop, we’ll never have any offensive rhythm or continuity. Turning this around starts with #2.

There was some play, I think it was in the 3rd qrt, where Adrian rolled right, checked down to Noa who was about 5-8 yards in front of him and successfully hit him in his shoes when the target probably should have been his gloves. I would say that one is more on him than the line. But agree, the line play is garbage.
