QB Sean Renfree

He looks a ton better than that kid from Iowa. His arm looks fantastic, and I loved how tough he ran, not afraid to take on linebackers and safeties.

 
Heard on 1620 that this kid was a GT committ and now a decommitt..... Brian Monson (Big Red Report) mentioned him today as a target and a potential sleeper...

Not really. I guess in overall weight but Renfree isn't too far behind him in overall stats:

Funny, half the GaTech commenters from that blog seem to think that we've either been option/run-oriented these past few years, or that we will be now because Callahan was fired.

Well, they're certainly as knowledgeable about this program as they act...

38 reps of what? The bar? There are grown 350 lb lineman who can't do that many reps, I highly doubt he did at 17 years old.

Aside from that, if we could land Renfree, that wouldn't be a bad replacement for Gabbert.

 
That run up the middle was one of the coolest plays I've ever seen.

But it makes me think that they run a Texas Tech style offense, especially since the entire defense seems to take three steps back after the ball is snapped every play. I'm guessing their draw plays picked up 8-10 yards every time. This kid looks great though.

watching his video....i decided that he reminds me of a colt brennan type QB

good size, somewhat side arm release, and can run when he has to.

i just think seeing his offense resembled something that brennan and hawaii would run.
