Ok... So there's quite a bit to unpack here. First; the website, as has been point out, is just a site to get you triggered, which you have a uniquely uncanny ability to find those types of websites of late.

Second; she's a professor at a Liberal Arts school most of us had no clue existed.

And B; she's not really wrong. Although she's pretty inflammatory with her own phrasing. I'm pretty sure everyone knows STEM has been a male dominated field, and there has been a huge push to get girls and women more involved the last 20 years. Also, from probably the 1400's to the end of the 20th century the history of physics was dominated by white males (if you only look at the western history, which is what's taught in higher education here). Marie Curie, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Michio Kaku (bet you actually had to look him up, even though you probably know his face and voice) are pretty rare when you have Galileo, Newton, Copernicus, Pascal, Kelvin, Plank, Hertz, Ohm, Bhor, Tesla, Einstein, Oppenheimer Heisenberg, Schrodinger, Hawking, etc. Those are just the ones I remember from the constants we learned in school and random history. I mean Google "well know physicists" and the only none white male that shows up is Marie.

Physics may not be inherently racist or sexist but it is most definitely dominated by the white male. To say otherwise is just foolish.

Interesting topic.  Fact is, science is science no matter who discovers it. 
 

The world used to be very segregated geographically.  Not because of bias, but because of nature. 
 

when you look at the technology that some ancient societies understood, like the mayans in Mexico, it’s fascinating. 
 

But, the type of science you’re talking about, came from Europe because those societies continued to modernize. It would be interesting to know, why others didn’t.

But really I think it has the most to do with economics and stability of the regions. Each continent had major technological advancements at some time in human history before their societies hit lows, then another region picked up where they left off or caught up with them. That's why I used the 1400s as a beginning. That's basically when modern science came about in the West. Before that you had Genghis Khan and the Crusades which were a major drain on western society. So, advancements would be slower and more militaristic.

The mid 20th century is fascinating because it's a time when military and civilian advancement was almost synonymous, and that is pretty rare in history. I think from the 1970s on we kind of diverged from that. So we saw the slow down in space exploration and aviation tech.

This was funny and made my day. :)  I think professors must be getting paid or rewarded to come up with anything that could be considered racist. I find most of their topics are head scratchers. She is probably very good at astro physics though.

I always understood Colorado College to be the most prestigious in the mountain states, carrying an Ivy League vibe with it; low acceptance rate, high tuition. Just looked it up:  $65,000 a year. 

 
Regardless of the stature or lack of for Colorado College, The College Fix is not affiliated with them in any way.  It is a conservative, right wing publication focused on what they call "political correctness".  A DeVos sits on the board.  

As a general rule, when you see National Enquirer level headlines you should probably look into the pubication a bit.  Today a few of theirs are:  

  • "Texas A&M med school removes photos of white male alumni to show commitment to diversity"
  • "Harvard issues weak response about LGBTQIA+ ‘infants’ class"
  • "Professor calls ChatGPT ‘woke parrot’ after AI refuses to cite fossil fuels’ benefits"

  • "Professor advises straight students to watch gay porn to see if they’re bisexual"
  • "The education/culture wars rock on … and conservatives have to keep fighting"

The article on the website is basically lifted word for word from the schools blog. It's and odd and inflamatory take from the professor, but there's some truth in it. Just not a lot of context.
