rainflux - Possible Spammer

Our newest member - rainflux - has the look of a spammer. IP resolves to Singapore or India, his account has his time zone set to Hong Kong, etc. I haven't put him on mod approval or taken other action, but keep an eye out. So far, no links in his signature and no posts.

Just put a post in medicare with a link to some yep health insurance. Gonna put'em on mod approval til you do that voodoo.

Interesting. He's now used two IPs. The second one resolves to Pennsylvania.

Anyway, I took off and nuked him from orbit. <Shrug> Only way to be sure.

Pretty sure new member @MarinaSlam is going to turn out to be a spammer. Where are they posting from, Frank? Their email is mymarina@37.com

Never heard of a domain that's just a number. Doesn't sound too legit to me.

New member @tongteng is a spammer. Had this in his "about me" page:

LED Plant Lamp And A board And Fiberglass Roving

Flagged him as a spammer and deleted the above content.

MarinaSlam's IP is 217.165.136.30, which resolves to Dubai. 37.com is a free web-based email site, and is notorious for hosing spammers. I'm going to ban the account. I'm going to ban the IP, but not wildcard it - we could easily have Husker fans working abroad in Dubai. I'll also kill tongteng - betting that's a China account without even looking. Thanks!
