Randy Gregory

Gregory is a man among boys. He showed maturity during the post game conference tonight. Glad we got him. He is glad he didn't go to Purdue. Yikes, they really stink.

He's the best we've since Whenever.

His change of direction, ball hawking, tackling, never give up style is second to none right now.

And he didn't arrive til August.

Dude is on another level and I think we're getting to place (that we like to be in) where we EXPECT him to make a play. Much like Suh, Vandenbosch, Williams, etc.

He makes other player better. He's indispensable.

He's beast

And his pal on the other end, Avery Moss, is coming on strong too. Having these two for the next 2-3 years is pure awesome.
......and the same with Curry and Valentine in the interior line. Not to mention the depth with others including McMullen, Collins and Maurice. Good things happen when defensive line is a strength.

Maybe it is a difference in their assignments, but to me the next step for Gregory is to effect every play, especially on passes, with consistency (ala Alberts, Tomich, Wistrom, Rucker, Vanden Bosch). Right now he is ballin based on his freakish ability alone, and at times he really struggles to disengage blockers. Add a go to move or two, and he will be as good as it gets. Avery is no slouch either. That guy held the edge today like a champ, sometimes holding up 2-3 guys.
