If we can get a competent run game going this year I think we have a chance.
Agree with this - a back of his level needs to see how this offense will operate with a QB that fits the mold. WR recruiting at NU is an easier job then RB, however hopefully mid-season that starts to change.

 
They probably hired the OC because they were in a bind due to when the HC retired.

It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that he's only going to be there for one year as HC...especially if the year goes bad.

No, they've announced when Stoops made his decision it was behind the scenes and allowed them time to make their decision before it went public. Riley is their guy.
They signed him to a 5 year extention 3 weeks ago.

Lincoln Riley is very well liked throughout the AD department and he was being pursued by a few teams. This move was more or less to keep him at OU for the long haul.

 
Riley is his main recruiter for Nebraska. And for Oklahoma.
There is continued discussion of Cav being on the hot seat. Much of it related to recruiting. Our head coach and not RB coach is the lead recruiter for what appears to be our top RB target?........interdasting.
