What is the story with this guy? I've mostly ignored him but lately he's been posting tons more, and he says absolutely nothing. It's ten words or less mostly, mostly inane, lends nothing to the conversation. It's like he's trying to be funny but fails, and the more I look at his posts, the more I think it's intentional.

Does anyone have any kind of real interaction with this guy? Anyone know anything about him?

 
Beginning to get really tired of this guy. Anyone have any objection to booting him? His entire body of posts are basically spam.

 
Lance, I generally agree with your assessments of posters, and lord knows you are more in-tune with the feel of the board than I am these days, but I just looked at some of his recent posts, and while they don't really add much, I can't see that they are a problem. Has anyone complained about him (in threads or a PM)? I hate to pull the trigger without something more - we already have some members that think we tend to be a bit heavy-handed. This guy's only been on about a year and a half, but he has almost 2000 posts and I just don't recall any real issues with him.

 
Well, his recent posts, like since I posted this, have been better.

And I don't know that we should "do" anything to him, although I know I'm contradicting myself two posts above.

It's just weird. I don't know how to describe him. It's like eating a meal of rice cakes - you get something, but there's really nothing there.

Why would someone join a message board and post 2,000 times when 99% of it is utter nonsense?

I at least try to say something of substance when I post. Not sure Jarvis is trying. Not sure what he's doing at all, really.

there seems to be a number of people that do that on the board, just not as prevalently
