I cant help but think how appreciative I am that we have a man like Riley at the helm at a time like this. Good w/the kids I'm sure, but the right tone and tenor for the parents and public as well.
From time to time he would to go to a small town bar South of Lincoln that I frequent with a couple of other players. He was a really nice kid. He loved just talking with the farmers there. He always insisted that he wasn't a football player but that he was a farmer first.
BYU fan here. Want to express my condolences to Mr. Foltz and his family and to husker nation. He was a great kicker and sounds like just as good a kid. We bleed blue through and through but this weekend we mourn with husker nation.
I brought my kids to Lincoln for the opener last year and have NEVER been treated better by a fanbase or an institution. Unforgettable experience. We are now all Husker fans (except when you play our Buckeyes (another alma mater)).
We never want to see this happen to a team or its fans. God Bless.
