Reported content question

Will notifications of reported content only show up if the notification hasn't been looked at or addressed by a mod/admin? The reason I ask is it seems I never seem them pop up on my screen, but it looks like there have been several reports in the last 7-10 days. IIRC, the old system would keep the notifications on the screen even if they had been looked at by someone.

Not to ask the stupid question but do you have your notification setting turned on for Reported Content?
