Hey guys, I got a couple PMs from this guy:

Is there anyway you can sticky the thread in the BS forum about the family that had an accident in Oklahoma? I know they aren't part of the site but they are still Husker family.
I stickied that, and got this one today:

Is there anyway that you can put that thread back in the husker forum? I don't think alot of people are going to see the tread and so it won't get the views as it should. I know that if it wasn't in there when it was, I would have never seen it. It might not be game relayed, but i do think it is more then BS related.
Guessing the 2nd thread was moved or something. Running it by you guys to see what you think. I don't have much of an opinion on it.

We have to strike a balance between real human emotions and what's good for the board. It turns out I used to work with the sister of the lady who died in this crash, and frankly it hit me like gut punch today. Our whole office is upset about this.

Bottom line, though, is that this isn't a football story. It's a story about Nebraskans who happened to be at a Husker football game, and had a tragedy on the way back. I don't want to come across as harsh and uncaring, because I really do care about this situation, but to me it just doesn't belong in the Football forum.

If we do put it back there (I'm the one who moved it to the Lounge in the first place), what's to stop others from posting similar threads there, citing this one as precedent? I think it's where it belongs on this site.

Thats a horrible story. I agree the article itself shouldnt be in the football forum. But if/when a donation fund is set-up, I'd like for us to do everything possible to help promote it. A sticky in the football forum for maybe a week is fine with me unless everyone adamantly opposes it, and perhaps we put a little bulletin link at the top as we've done for the contests & other things, to help ppl find it once unpinned.

Yes it sets somewhat of a precedent, and I know you guys are coming from a good place so please dont take this wrong, but I think this is a pretty extraordinary situation that should transcend the structure of a forum.

Thanks for checking.

Great idea Chad, I would definately agree with that if a fund is set up. If one isn't then I agree that it shouldn't be in the Husker football forum. No offense taken from what knapp said either.
